Join us for a four-part Ukulele for Beginners Class apart of Arts in the Atrium at St. Joseph Hospital! This class is perfect for those new to ukulele, covering essential skills like holding the instrument, forming chords, and strumming rhythms. By the end of this course, you’ll be able to play simple songs in a group setting. Learning an instrument offers great health benefits, including neurogenesis, relaxation, and increased dopamine levels!
This class will be held on Tuesdays: October 22nd, October 29th, November 5th, and November 12th, all starting at 6:30pm. Professional musician and educator Mike Loce will guide you through the musical and technical foundations. Participants are required to bring a ukulele and folding music stand, while chord charts, rhythm guides, and song materials will be provided. Registration is required for this class.
This class is apart of Arts in the Atrium at St. Joseph Hospital, which has a goal to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all to enjoy. Offering a wide range of exciting events such as music performances, art classes, and poetry classes, we encourage anyone in the community to attend!
