Arts in the Atrium at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, New Hampshire, has proven to be an effective way of fostering healing for patients, their families, and community members.
The purpose of this program is to create a strong bond between St. Joseph Hospital and the Greater Nashua community, providing opportunities for visitors to come into the hospital for non-medical reasons.
About Arts in the Atrium
In line with the mission of St. Joseph Hospital, the goal of Arts in the Atrium is to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all to enjoy. Offering a wide range of exciting events such as music performances, art classes, and poetry readings, we encourage anyone in the community to attend.
Additionally, we work closely with the Nashua Area Artists’ Association to display artwork throughout our hallways on a rotating basis four times a year. These pieces of art, which are available for purchase, add an extra dimension to the walls of St. Joseph Hospital – fostering a sense of home for our patients and visitors.
Events
Events for Arts in the Atrium are held numerous times throughout each month. For specific information on events, see the list displayed below. If you have any questions on an upcoming event, please contact Michele Canto, Director of Community Ministries, at mcanto@sjhnh.org.
