Outpatient Rehabilitation

St. Joseph Hospital offers comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation services for all ages, including physical, occupational, speech therapy. Our primary goal is to assist our patients in achieving the highest level of function, through skilled one-on-one therapy and utilizing the latest in rehabilitation technologies.

We offer early morning and evening appointments to meet your busy schedule. The length of each treatment session is based on patient need, with most sessions scheduled for 45 minutes.

Outpatient services are available at six locations, including three sites in Nashua, plus others in Hudson, Merrimack and Milford. Referrals to our program are accepted from all physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

Each member of the rehabilitation team at St. Joseph Hospital is licensed by the State of New Hampshire Medical Board of Allied Health. Our therapists average 15 years of experience and have advanced training in specialized areas of patient care. Some of these areas include neurological rehabilitation, orthopedics and post-surgical rehabilitation, pediatrics, manual therapy, hand therapy, women’s health, pelvic health, wound care, vestibular disorders and geriatric specialty services.

Pelvic Health

St. Joseph Hospital offers one of the most comprehensive diagnostic and treatment programs in the state for men and women who suffer from disorders associated with the pelvic floor. Our outpatient rehabilitation facilities offer quiet, private treatment rooms and highly trained, professional therapists.

Using a combination of specialized manual techniques, exercise and biofeedback, physical therapy can significantly reduce symptoms and relieve pelvic pain.

Pediatric Rehabilitation Services

We offer a comprehensive program of physical, occupational and speech therapy for children with flexible scheduling to accommodate you and your family’s busy schedules.

Our licensed pediatric therapists will evaluate your child to address strength, flexibility, reflexes, motor and sensory skills and developmental progress. We focus on communication and teamwork with the child, the caretaker and family, the physician and the school to incorporate therapy into everyday activities at home, work, school and play. We are experienced in working within the school system to integrate and transition children to and from school-based therapies as well as acute care and rehabilitation settings.
