Your Support of Breast Care Tickles Us Pink!

Cornerstone News

In 2022, you and our community came together to show our breast care patients all the love!

First Cancer Survivors Kickball Game

In partnership with the Nashua Silver Knights and in honor of National Cancer Survivor Month, we held our first Cancer Survivors Kickball Game. The game featured a team of 18 cancer survivors (Team Alive & Kicking) versus 18 hospital employees (Team One Kick Wonders). The game went five innings in 90+ degree weather. In the bottom of the fifth inning with both teams tied, the One Kicks Wonders’ Kristit Quirici go the game-winning run. After the game, players and their families were treated to a BBQ in right field as well as free tickets to that evening’s Silver Knights baseball game.

“It’s amazing how many lives cancer touches each and every day,” said Dr. Sabine Manoli. “As a survivor myself, I learned to start trying things I used to be afraid of. I hope this game helps other survivors and their families appreciate the little things all around them.”

Stand Up to Breast Cancer

During our third annual Stand Up to Breast Cancer fundraiser, our community came out in force to flock the hospital lawn with flamingos. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, donors named flamingos in honor of loved ones who faced a cancer diagnosis. Seventy-nine flamingos graced our lawn for the month of October, raising $3,550 toward new technology for the Breast Care Center.

Pink Ride

It was a snow-less February for the PINK RIDE in 2022. Although the ride itself was canceled we are grateful to the Hollis Nor’Easters and donors who still rallied together to raise $10,487 toward new technology for the Breast Care Center.
