
Patrick Quigley, Maintenance Mechanic, Facilities Department – Patrick began his time at St. Joseph Hospital in 2023 and is currently a Maintenance Mechanic in the Facilities Department.
Patrick shows constant and consistent commitment to his work and to those he works with. As mentioned by his nominating colleague, “Patrick’s willingness to step in wherever needed reflects a quiet but meaningful dedication to service.”
When asked what his favorite thing about his job is, he said, “Although our work is behind the scenes at times, it’s rewarding to know that we directly support our clinical staff to provide excellent patient care and live out the mission of St. Joe’s.”
Patrick recalls one of the most memorable times in Facilities was the planning and teamwork that went into the SPD Sterilizer replacement project in Sterile Processing, “it was a complex project with many moving parts and a tight deadline.”
Patrick’s nomination continues with, “Patrick also advances the mission through his focus on improving the patient and visitor experience. He has taken initiative to locate and support the placement of wayfinding signage, helping improve navigation throughout the facility. These actions reflect his understanding of how environment and access contribute to care.”
Patrick is a valued member of both his professional and personal communities. He enjoys weightlifting, hiking, reading, travel and gaming. He is a 4th degree black belt in karate and is actively involved with his church. He and his wife, Rachel, also a St. Joseph Hospital employee, have a 2-year-old daughter, Delaney, and two cats, Hank and Dean.
