Honoring Loved Ones Through Lights of Remembrance

News & Events

On December 6, 2025, St. Joseph Hospital’s atrium glowed with more than 2,000 candles during Lights of Remembrance — a special evening of reflection and community. This year marked a record 204 named candles, each honoring a loved one whose light continues to shine in our lives.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who attended and supported this meaningful night. Your generosity raised over $11,000 for the Mission Fund, directly supporting mission-driven programs, including bereavement support groups that bring comfort and care to those navigating loss.

Guests were moved by music from local singer Ken Budka, including this year’s special tribute song, “I Will Remember You” by Sarah McLachlan. We thank the dedication of the St. Joseph Hospital Volunteers, the planning committee and the unwavering encouragement of Laura Wilcox, program coordinator of volunteer services.

We also thank Michele Canto, director of community ministries, whose care and vision shape this thoughtful experience, and everyone at St. Joseph Hospital who believes in this cherished tradition. Together, we created a night that brought hope and healing to our hearts.

St. Joseph Hospital’s community ministries and bereavement programs bring comfort to those navigating loss.
