April 2026 Mission Champion, Heather Sandquist

News & Events

Heather Sandquist, Medical Assistant, Breast Care Center –   Heather began her time at St. Joseph Hospital in 2023.  As a Medical Assistant, she be-bops between the Specialty Suite and the Breast Care Center, her primary role is serving as the Medical Assistant to Dr. Manoli and Dr. Bronfine.

When asked what her favorite thing about her job is, she said enthusiastically, “The peeps that I work with are pretty wonderful but most importantly, I love the constant teaching and learning.  Everyone is always willing to share their knowledge, and I love that!”

Heather’s nominating co-worker wrote that, “Heather ensures each patient or individual that walks through the doors of the Breast Care Center knows they are loved and supported.” She went on to say, “Heather is a gem. She is one in a million.  She is a shooting star, and I am honored to work alongside her.” Heather shared that one of her most memorable times here was during down time.  “You don’t realize how much human interaction is missed out on because we have technology.  When it went down, we communicated face to face, high fived each other and laughed together.  It was AMAZING!!  Teamwork at its finest.”

Outside of work Heather loves to spend time with her family – she is married and has 2 beautiful adult(ish) children and 2 boxer dogs.  She enjoys the outdoors, claims to be shy and quiet, and says she breaks out in a rash when she is the center of attention – join us at her Mission Champion Celebration on April 15th to find out! Cheers to you, Heather, our April Mission Champion – we are so lucky to have you!

Congratulations, Heather!
