Thanks to a significant gift from the Keegan Family Courage & Faith Foundation, St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing will make large-scale renovations and officially name its auditorium in 2023.
“Without the love, care and dedication of St. Joseph nurses, I would not be here today,” says Kaylie Keegan. “These nurses were instrumental in caring for my dad when he was born prematurely. They remained by his side for days, weeks and months at the hospital. As a family, we are forever thankful and would like to acknowledge the nurses across the hospital with the gift of the Keegan Family Auditorium at the School of Nursing.”
“The investment by the Keegan family through their foundation will greatly improve our student’s educational environment,” notes St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing Dean Vickie Fieler, Ph.D., RN. “I look forward to celebrating with our students and community when the project is complete. I hope the Keegan family’s generous commitment inspires others to support this vital initiative.”
The auditorium’s upgrade kicks off a strategic plan to improve the School of Nursing’s facilities. St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing is proud to be the only remaining school in New Hampshire connected directly to a hospital. In addition, it’s one of the most affordable and unique local options for students raising a family or making a career change. Ninety-three percent of St. Joseph School of Nursing’s graduates remain in southern New Hampshire following graduation and subsequent licensure.
