For more than 23 years, Sheila Caron has been a beloved part of the St. Joseph Hospital family — offering her time, her talents and most of all her heart. “As someone who has spent decades surrounded by the compassion and dedication that define St. Joe’s, I know just how special this place truly is,” Sheila shares. “It’s not just a hospital. It’s a place where people are cared for deeply, where healing is personal and hope is never out of reach.”
Sheila’s connection to the hospital goes beyond her years of service. It’s also where she and her husband, Wilfrid, celebrated their wedding so his mother could be with them while receiving care. “That moment meant everything to us,” she reflects. “It still lives in my heart.”
In honor of those memories and the mission she continues to believe in, Sheila has chosen to leave a legacy that will carry her care forward. Her planned gift ensures that future patients will receive the same thoughtful and compassionate care that has long defined St. Joseph Hospital.
“My role here has never been clinical, but that didn’t mean I couldn’t help people,” she said. “I’ve always believed that every act of support, whether it’s big or small, matters. It’s comforting to know that my gift will continue to help others in need long after I’m gone.”
To honor her generosity, Sheila has been welcomed into the St. Joseph Worker Legacy Society, a group of individuals who are helping secure the future of this healing sanctuary.
We invite you to consider joining this special community. Your legacy, like Sheila’s, can help ensure that kindness, innovation and healing remain at the heart of St. Joseph Hospital for generations to come.
