Chief Nursing Officer, Vice President of Patient Care Services
Michelle Proulx, MSN, RN, CNML, Chief Nursing Officer, Vice President of Patient Care Services, is an accomplished healthcare leader with over 28 years of clinical experience. In her current role, she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of patient care delivery and nursing practice within St. Joseph Hospital.
Having earned a Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing from Salem State University and a Master’s Degree from Rivier University, Michelle’s extensive education and training have played a key role in her success at St. Joseph Hospital. Additionally, she has earned a National Clinical Nurse Leader Certification managed by the Commission on Nursing Certification, further demonstrating her commitment to the field of nursing.
Prior to being named Chief Nursing Officer and Vice President of Patient Care Services, Michelle served as Director of Inpatient Nursing Service, where she was responsible for overseeing six patient care departments, including medical/surgical, intensive care, progressive care, float pool, nursing supervision, and respiratory therapy. In her previous role at St. Joseph Hospital, Michelle focused on reducing the length of patient stays and reducing hospital-acquired infections – resulting in improved patient outcomes and higher satisfaction ratings.
Outside of work, Michelle is married with four children. In her free time, she enjoys family vacations to Disney World, which serve as an opportunity to recharge with loved ones. Her passion for nursing and dedication to improving patient care have made her an asset to St. Joseph Hospital, and a leader in the healthcare community.
