Shellie was the best. After a long time, I got the right advice/medication and a result-oriented physician for diabetes. She will be missed at St. Josephs. I want to know where she is transitioning to, since the note from the hospital came with very short notice. -JLPatient Submitted Review

Shellie has been my endocrinologist for many years , she is in my opinion the best out there . She was always there for me And knew exactly what to do to correct and off blood work . Shellie helped me understand my thyroid levels and listened to me. She was amazing and irreplaceable. St. Joe's endocrinology has some big shoes to fill. Not sure if I will remain a patient there because Shellie was out of network for me, but well worth it. If the new hire is not as experienced and understanding as she was at understanding thyroid levels, there's no point in staying. I can get an in network provider elsewhere. I saw Dr. Levine for many years after my thyroid cancer diagnosis and he was awesome! When he was close to retiring, he moved me over to Shellie Hafer, which was a big deal as I had gotten to know Dr. Levine well. Well, after seeing Shellie for several years now, she is absolutely amazing! She listens and she is an encyclopedia of knowledge, and that doesn’t begin to give her enough credit. Shelley is so kind and considerate of others. She takes the time needed at each visit to explain meds and reasons for med changes. She is the ultimate professional. I have been with Shellie since she joined this practice. The level of care, and explanation she provides, is unmatched. I have such a good understanding of how my body works because she was so thorough in her explanation and making sure I understood why she was prescribing what she did. Her leaving this practice is a tremendous to this entire community.
