At St. Joseph Hospital, we provide services that give you timely and accurate results. With five convenient locations throughout Nashua, Hudson, and Milford, we aim to make getting lab work done as simple as possible.
If you are looking for laboratory results, we recommend signing up for MyChart to view your results electronically. Otherwise, please contact your providers office directly. We also recommend contacting your providers office if you are seeking information regarding fasting for testing.
The laboratory at St. Joseph Hospital is staffed by personnel seven days a week, 24 hours a day, to ensure that all inpatients, outpatients, and Emergency Department patients are treated in an accurate and timely manner.
All five of our laboratory locations are accredited by the College of American Pathologists’ Accreditation and Laboratory Improvement Program. To earn this accreditation, locations must go through a process involving on-site reviews for quality control, staff qualifications, equipment, safety, and laboratory management to ensure outstanding service.
To give our patients the highest standard of service without having to leave New Hampshire, we utilize Mayo Medical Laboratories for additional expertise when needed. Mayo Medical Laboratories is a distinctive leader in the field of esoteric testing and offers consultations with its world-renowned physicians and scientists.
St. Joseph Hospital Laboratory and drawing stations are closed on all major holidays. Please also note that drawing stations may be closed intermittently due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Our laboratory team provides management to all five of our locations located throughout Nashua, Hudson, and Milford. Together, they bring a wide variety of managerial skills and knowledge of safety to ensure that our laboratory operates smoothly.
Erika’s journey at St. Joseph Hospital spans an impressive 16 years, during which she has exhibited unwavering dedication and remarkable growth.
Erika commenced her career with us as a Medical Laboratory Scientist, demonstrating her versatility by working as a generalist in various laboratory departments. Her proficiency in Transfusion Medicine led her to excel as a Lead Blood Bank Technologist and later as a Hematology and Blood Bank Technical Supervisor in 2017.
In 2020, Erika broadened her scope further, taking on the role of Technical Supervisor of the Core Laboratory, overseeing hematology, urine, coagulation, chemistry, and central processing.
Her ability to collaborate seamlessly with diverse departments paved the way for her subsequent appointment as Laboratory Operations Manager in 2021.
Because of her passion for upholding the mission and values of St. Joseph Hospital, Erika was promoted to Director of Laboratory Services in January of 2024.
Erika is a graduate of Merrimack College in North Andover, MA, where she received her BS in Medical Technology, and more recently, completed a certificate program from the American Society for Clinical Pathology, Lab Management University.

Michelle embarked on her journey at St. Joseph Hospital in 2010, where she began as a Laboratory Scientist. After a brief hiatus from 2019 to 2023, she returned to become Technical Supervisor of Chemistry/Central Processing. Her leadership and expertise play a pivotal role in maintaining the hospital’s commitment to delivering top-notch laboratory services.
She is a graduate of University of Massachusetts, Lowell, MA, where she received her BS in Medical Technology. More recently, she earned her MBA in Healthcare Management from New England College in Henniker, NH, showcasing her dedication to advancing her knowledge in healthcare.
Beyond her professional achievements, Michelle is a resident of Hudson, NH, where she resides with her husband, Jon, stepson Oliver (7), and stepdaughter Meghan (22). Her interests extend beyond the laboratory, as she finds joy in camping, bowling, reading, and spending time with her family.

Having 18 years of Histology experience, Shawna has been with St. Joseph Hospital since 2018.
Shawna has an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science focused on Histology from Indiana University Perdue University of Indianapolis in Indianapolis, IN. Additionally, she holds a Certificate in Business Management.
Outside of the laboratory, Shawna has a diverse range of hobbies. She is an avid cheese maker, working with farms to source raw, local milk. Shawna also makes pastries and has chocolatier experience. Her culinary skills extend to cooking and baking, which earned her first place in the St. Joseph Hospital Chili and Soup Cookoff of 2023. She has a love for music, with her skills include playing the guitar, flute, and saxophone.

Gabrielle joined St. Joseph Hospital in 2023, contributing 16 years of extensive healthcare expertise to the laboratory team. Her commitment revolves around encompassing specimen collection and elevating patient care/satisfaction.
As a leader of a team of inpatient and outpatient phlebotomists across five locations, Gabrielle fosters a culture of continuous learning, urging her team members to enhance their skills and provide optimal experiences for patients of St. Joseph Hospital.
Beyond her professional achievements, she finds joy in nature and is dedicated to raising her young sons to be curious, kind, and caring members of the community.
