The COVID-19 testing site at St. Joseph Hospital offers a PCR nasal swab only. Results for PCR tests usually come back in 24 to 72 hours and are available via MyChart.

The community testing site does not offer rapid testing. However, we do offer rapid testing for eligible patients at St. Joseph Hospital Milford Medical Center, the St. Joseph Hospital Emergency Department and for current patients through our primary care practices.

You must bring a valid physicians order to be tested for COVID-19 at St. Joseph Hospital. Bring your insurance card. Most insurance plans cover testing in full, however, if financial assistance is needed, applications are available.

If you are uninsured or do not have full coverage benefits for COVID-19 testing, New Hampshire Medicaid has established a COVID-19 Testing Benefit that may pay for testing and diagnosis of COVID-19 for those who are not already a Medicaid beneficiary and do not have full coverage for COVID-19 testing and diagnosis. Applications are available at https://nheasy.nh.gov.

Upon arrival, please remain in your car and call (603) 884-5679 to be registered over the phone. Once you’ve been processed, we will call you back and provide further instructions. Then proceed to the designated COVID testing parking spots. You will then be brought in through a separate entrance and tested.

Once you’ve had your COVID-19 test, you’ll receive a brochure that explains how to access your test results at MyChart, as well as what to do while waiting for your results and how to interpret your results.
