At St. Joseph Hospital, our neurology department offers a host of resources for our patients and their loved ones. These resources give them the physical, mental and spiritual support they need before, during and after treatment.
Every month, stroke survivors, their caregivers and their family members meet for our Stroke Support Group. There, they share their personal experiences, coping strategies and more with those who best know what they’re going through.
Sessions take place the first Wednesday of each month from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Hospital. For more information, please contact Patti Motyka at (603) 882-3000, ext. 67500.
Smoking is proven to drastically increase your risk of stroke, but we know that quitting can be difficult. That’s why we provide a range of smoking cessation services. These include a full assessment and counseling, as well as pharmacologic treatments such as nicotine patches, lozenges and gum, bupropion and varenicline (Chantix®).
