St. Joseph Hospital Names Deepak Vatti, MD as Vice President of Medical Affairs

St. Joseph Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Deepak R. Vatti, M.D., FACEP, as Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer, effective June 1, 2025.

Dr. Vatti brings an impressive range of clinical and operational leadership experience to his new role. He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his Emergency Medicine Residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University, where he also holds a faculty appointment. Additionally, Dr. Vatti has completed the Physician Leadership Development Program sponsored by the New Hampshire Hospital Association, the New Hampshire Medical Society, and the University of New Hampshire College of Business, along with advanced training through the Horty Springer educational series.

As a recognized innovator, Dr. Vatti has played a key role in several transformative initiatives at St. Joseph Hospital, including establishing an ED-based Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) protocol, optimizing Emergency Department operations, and launching the Mobile Health Clinic with Rosemary Ford, Director of Mobile Health. Under his leadership, the hospital’s Emergency Department earned Geriatric ED Level III accreditation, with plans to achieve Level II designation by 2026. He also serves as the Medical Director of the Primary Stroke Center and the Mobile Health Clinic, as well as the President-Elect of the Medical Staff for St. Joseph Hospital. Dr. Vatti’s collaborative leadership is evident in his involvement in various performance improvement forums, credentialing committees, and emergency preparedness groups.

In his new role, Dr. Vatti will oversee medical staff engagement, clinical strategy and quality improvement initiatives.
