A thyroid specialist is an endocrinologist with a special focus on diagnosing, treating, and managing conditions relating to the thyroid. Many primary care providers will run a general thyroid test through blood work each year as a preventative screening, and based on those results, many recommend you visit a thyroid specialist to perform further testing to determine what condition you may have.
Several of our board-certified providers have an Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU) from the American College of Endocrinology, which requires documentation of adequate teaching, experience, and demonstration of proficiency in ultrasound and biopsy.
“The staff at St. Joseph Hospital Endocrinology are dedicated and caring providers. My daughter has Dr. Flynn and I have Shellie Hafer – they both have provided us with great care. You don’t panic if they call you at home, they are just making sure you are receiving the care you need! I have always felt heard and a part of my own care. Blessed to have them!”
Our team of board-certified providers at St. Joseph Hospital Endocrinology in Nashua, New Hampshire, are looking forward to caring for you.
